#1 - Lay out all parts as shown in picture. Clean, degrease and dry all parts. Remember to always wear eye protection.

#2 - Prepare the barrel assembly. The rivets protruding from the inside of the front trunnion must be ground flush. (A Dremel tool or hand held grinder will work well.)

#3 - Install the black nylon chamber insert.

#4 - Attach the bolt using (1 each) #10x1” metal screw, to the chamber insert. (Leave the screw a little loose.)

#5 - Attach black nylon bolt to black nylon receiver using (2ea.) #8x3/4” metal screws. (Leave these a little loose also.)

#6 - Slide barrel assembly into the black nylon receiver. Make sure the chamber insert goes into the chamber and the bolt enters the gas port. Using rubber mallet, tap barrel assembly into receiver until flush with forend. Now tighten screws on bolt and chamber insert. Install 10/24x1/2” set screw into tapped hole in top of bolt. Tighten securely.

#7 - Install trigger guard using (5 ea.) #6x3/8” metal screws.

#8 - Slide trigger sleeve through right side of trigger, through center of the torsion spring, and into left side of the trigger. Place the trigger inside the trigger housing. Use the thick black nylon pin to secure the trigger to the receiver. If you do not have a trigger sleeve, place trigger inside the trigger housing. Slide pin through the right side of receiver, trigger, and torsion spring.

#9 - With the safety/selector in vertical position, insert safety into opening in receiver. Align and tap into position. Then move safety down into either Safe or Fire.

#10 - Install rear pistol grip using original screw. Tighten.

#11 - For Wood or Plastic Stocks:
(1) Remove the old trunnion from the buttstock.
(2) Using two original screws, install the new black nylon trunnion onto the buttstock.
(3) Move buttstock into position.
(4) Using one supplied thin plastic pin, secure the new trunnion into the receiver.
(5) Using the two supplied #6x1/2” black wood screws, secure the bottom of the stock to the receiver. Screw into the wood, one on each side.

#12 - (For Side Folding AMD-65 Stocks):
(1) Remove two pins from rear trunnion on folding stock. Pins can be removed by drilling. Use a hand-held drill with clamping vice to hold the trunnion (A drill press is best for this operation).
a. Grind rivet flat.
b. Center punch rivet to locate drill center point.
c. Use a 11/64 drill bit to drill through the rivet (smaller drill bit can be used as a starter hole before using the 11/64 drill bit).
(2) Remove square piece on the rear of the receiver (make two relief cuts with the hacksaw, then use pliers to break it off.)
(3) Position the buttstock in rear of the receiver. Use the two supplied black nylon pins to hold the stock in place.

#13 - Install receiver cover latch.
(1) Remove operating spring and front rod section from existing assembly.
a. Stand spring assembly in vertical position on table.
b. Compress spring three inches while the internal rod stays in place.
c. Spread retaining wires to remove the rod cap.
d. Slowly remove the spring.
e. Remove the front rod section and discard.
(2) Place the supplied spring over the rod section.
(3) Slide the new spring/rod assembly into the slot on top of the bolt assembly.
(4) Allow the rear latch to move back into slide at the rear of the trunnion.

#14 - Install dust cover.

#15 - To install orange blaze safety plug, place in rifle bore and tap into place with mallet. You must install the orange safety plug in bore of rifle to denote “Dummy” Rifle. Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction.
