INSTRUCTIONS SHEET FOR H&R M12 SCOPE MOUNT

Dear Valued Customer:

1. Remove the rear sight base & the rear scope mount base from the barrel if you are using a long scope. 
2. Using a 7/64 allen wrench, loosen the two 6-32 x ½” socket head screws that hold the top rail to the rear sight base. They want to be just loose enough that they can still be adjusted. 
3. Place the top rail of the scope mount on the rifle barrel, starting both of the 6-48 x .350 fillister head screws down thru the top of the mount, lightly snug so the mount will still move. Do not tighten. 
4. Start the two 6-48 screws thru the rear sight base into the side of the receiver but do not tighten.
5. While holding down pressure on the top rail between the two 6-48 screws tighten the two 6-32 screws that hold the rear sight base to the top rail.
6. Tighten the two 6-48 screws that hold the top rail to the barrel.
7. Tighten the two 6-48 screws that hold the rear sight base to the side of the barrel. 
8. This mount uses weaver style rings & work best with HIGH or MEDIUM rings.
