This forend is 7 3/4 inches long for use with older Shotguns.
Will not fit Mossberg 5500/9200.
Made of fiberglass filled plastic, they look good and will last a lifetime.
Mossberg 835 and 500-A1 forends are shorter than older model Mossberg 500 forends. Choate's forends only fit the Mossberg shotguns that have the steel tube in the center that the action bars are welded to. If your forend is held to the action bars by pins and there is no steel tube in the center of your forend when it is removed from the action then our forend will not fit your gun.

After unsuccessful searches and purchases I finally found this resource.
