INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR THE ARGENTINE 1891 #ARG80

Remove the receiver & barrel from the wood. Push the pin out at the rear of the rear flip sight. Remove the flip up sight & then the spring by first taking the small screw that holds the spring in place, slide it forward and lift it out. Slide the flange nut into the undercut at the front of the sight where the spring was with the full radius on the nut toward the rear. Place the mount over the special nut & align the 4-40 tapped holes in the mount up with the holes in the side of the receiver. It is very important that these holes line up to keep from damaging the threads when the screws are installed. Put in the (2) 4-40 x ? socket head screws. Do not tighten!!!

Put the 10-32 x 3/8 flat head screw through the mount and into the nut & tighten. Lightly tighten the (2) 4-40 socket head screws. They DO NOT need to be real tight. Put the 10-32 x ? set screw down through the tapped hole in the top of the mount and tighten against the receiver. The purpose of this set screw is to keep pressure on the 4-40 socket head screws so they can’t back out.
