#9190 Instruction sheet for Finish M91, Russian M91, Dragoon, P Series, M24, M27 & M28
To install this mount it is necessary to remove the rear sight from your rifle. To remove the rear sight push out the pivot pin, remove the ladder sight & the spring.
After removal of the rear sight place the S&K Mount between the (2) ears sticking up where the ladder sight pivot pin was. Keep the lettering (1891) on the underside of the mount toward the front of the rifle. Line the 4-40 tapped holes in the side of the mount up with the pivot pin holes & insert the (2) 4-40 x 3/8 socket head cap screws. The holes in the rifle sight must line up with the threads in the mount or you can cross-thread the tapped holes in the S&K Mount. Tighten the screws until you feel a slight resistance. They do not need to be very tight. Insert the 10-32 x ½ brass socket set screw into the front top tapped hole of the S&K Mount & tighten this screw. Tightening this screw will put down pressure on the rear of the mount causing the 4-40 screws to become tight. DO NOT try to tighten or loosen the 4-40 screws with the front brass screw tight. Insert the 10-32 x ¼ pointed socket set screw into the top rear threaded hole of the S&K Mount. This screw needs to be tightened only enough to keep the rear of the mount from shifting sideways. Over tightening this screw will lift the rear of the S&K Mount off the pad it rests on & throw elevation off.
