All S&K rings are fully machined out of solid steel bar stock, tumble finished to remove all burrs, and have a 3/8" diameter stud that locks into a 3/8" hole or slot in the base which provides windage adjustment. The rings are locked into position by tightening cooperative cone pointed set screws. The rings are precision bored to 1" diameter and, being machined rather than extruded or stamped, form a precision fit that will not slip under recoil. They are nicely contoured and trim in appearance. S&K rings are tumble finished and blued to achieve a military-type dull or nonglare black finish that matches the black anodized Insta Mount bases.

Push the pin out at the front of the rear flip up sight. Remove the flip up sight by pushing down on the sight directly over where the pin was removed & pulling on the flip up sight toward the rear of the gun. There is a sleeve on each side of the flip up sight that has to be pushed down far enough to clear a pocket it fits into. With the sight tipped down at the rear, insert the protruding part of the mount into the undercut at the rear of the gun. You should now be able to push down on the front of the sight until the screw holes are lined up with the pin hole. It is very important that these holes line up to keep from damaging the threads when the screws are installed. Put the two 6-32 x 5/16th button head screws through the holes in the side of the gun and into the mount. Tighten these two screws. You don’t need to get the (2) 6-32 screws very tight! Thread the two 10–32 x ½ set screws into the two top holes & tighten. Make sure they are both tight.
