ADVANTAGES OF S&K MOUNTING SYSTEM

-Front and rear rings are interchangeable

-Ring studs mate to matching receptacles in bases

-BOTH rings bear against front of their respective receptacles (both absorb recoil shock)

-Trim in appearance, light in weight

-Precision bored – scope will not slip

-No knobs, bolts or other obtrusions to break or bend

-Fits any 1 inch scope tube

All S&K rings are fully machined out of solid steel bar stock, tumble finished to remove all burrs, and have a 3/8" diameter stud that locks into a 3/8" hole or slot in the base which provides windage adjustment. The rings are locked into position by tightening cooperative cone pointed set screws. The rings are precision bored to 1" diameter and, being machined rather than extruded or stamped, form a precision fit that will not slip under recoil. They are nicely contoured and trim in appearance. S&K rings are tumble finished and blued to achieve a military-type dull or nonglare black finish that matches the black anodized Insta Mount bases.

#HU65 INSTRUCTIONS SHEET FOR HUSQVARNA SCOUT
Remove the rear sight ladder by pushing the hinge pin out with a 1/16” punch. Remove the leaf spring by sliding it forward (a strike with a punch & hammer might be required to dislodge it). Slide the special nut (with the short part of the head toward the rear) into the spring slot & all the way toward the rear of the slot. Set the S&K mount over the rear sight so the screw holes in the front of the S&K mount line up with the horizontal hinge pin holes in the rifle. Align the rear hole in the top of the S&K mount up with the special nut. It is very important that these holes all line up to keep from damaging the threads when the screws are installed. Put the two 4-40 x 5/16th socket head screws through the hinge pin holes in the receiver & into the tapped side holes in the mount. Do not tighten at this time. Put the 10-32 x ¾” flat head screw through the hole in the top of the mount & into the special nut but do not tighten. Now tighten the 4-40 socket head screws - You don’t need to get the (2) 4-40 screws very tight! Now tighten the 10-32 flat head screw. Screw the 10-32 x ½” socket set screw into the top of the mount in the front and the 10-32 x 3/8 screw in the rear and tighten both. This will hold upward pressure on the mount, eliminating any movement in the mount & locking the 4-40 screws in place. Do not try to tighten or loosen the 4-40 screws with the 10-32 set screw tight as you will damage or break the 4-40 screws.
